Liza Domingues is an abstract artist born in São Paulo, Brazil, now living and working in Brooklyn, New York. Trained in Industrial Design with a focus on Visual Communication at Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado of São Paulo, her artistic practice explores the dynamic interplay between geometry and color. Liza's compositions, characterized by bold geometric forms and a vibrant palette, reflect her design background. Her unique visual language delves into the realms of perception, emotion, and memory.

Artist Statement

My practice engages with the interplay of material, form, color, and space, using geometric shapes as a representation of human creativity and imagination. I experiment with diverse materials—wood, canvas, acrylic, sand, paper-mâché, and 3D-printed forms—fusing traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques to create dimensional works that transcend the confines of the flat surface.
